antique rug beater

An antique rug beater formed from slender twisted wire with a small hand-carved wooden handle worn smooth with use. The open frame and delicate bends of the wire give the piece a quiet graphic presence. Hung on a wall, it adds subtle texture and warmth to farmhouse and collected interiors.
