The Paper is made in a rural village in Nepal from the inner bark of the "Lokta" bush, which grows wild in the Himalayas at altitudes of 2000 to 3000 meters. This is a renewable resource, as the plant regenerates from the same root system. It is tree-free and environmentally sound. It is widely regarded as one of the world's finest papers.
